The Park in action
The place name Giarola derives from the ancient name of the locality Glarola, of Roman or early medieval origin, meaning a graveled place. There is information on the Corte (Court) as far back as the early Middle Ages (8th-9th century A.D.), when the building was considered as a control point for the territory, at the behest of the Frankish family of the noble Ingo, who controlled a large part of the area between the Taro and Baganza rivers.
