Nature, culture and landscapes

The landscape one can observe in the Carrega Woods Park, more than in any other place, is the result of the interaction between nature and human activities that changed the territory over the centuries through agricultural-forestry management interventions and through significant water flow regulation works.

Considered as both a hunting reserve and a holiday area, but also production zone for the presence of agricultural cultivations and the timber, the Park and the bordering areas have been always a mosaic of different natural environments, agricultural areas and monumental historical gardens.
